Autowork Online Release Notes version 201

The R201 release for AutoWork Online (AWOL) has focused around the integration with Klipboard Money card payments, pay-by-link payments and Vin Masking in order to meet DVLA requirements. Exact details of these new features can be found below.

VIN Display and Access Changes

As part of updated terms from our vehicle data providers, changes have been introduced to how Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) are displayed within Autowork Online and KIS Online products. VINs are now partially masked by default.

Authorised users can still access the full VIN where required; however, access to the full value is controlled and recorded for audit purposes.

As a matter of best practice, the VIN used for operational tasks such as job cards should be verified directly from the vehicle itself, rather than relying solely on system-generated documents.

These changes reflect updated supplier terms and are designed to reduce the risk of misuse of vehicle data.
