Autowork Online allows you to quickly build an estimate for a customer, and print a professional document.
The solution features MAM Software’s Autocat electronic catalogue software. This allows the vehicle being worked on to be identified using a VRM lookup. The correct parts can then be identified and added to the job.
Estimates can be built using the system’s online database of supplier-provided repair times and service schedules. The labour times feature provides a categorised database of repair and maintenance tasks, allowing recommended repair times to be added to the document. The service schedules feature allows the appropriate labour tasks to be added to the document.
The system’s labour times and service schedules features also connect with the Autocat electronic catalogue system, allowing the required parts to be added to the document.
Today we’re going to be looking at creating a customer estimate in Autowork Online. Firstly enter the customer’s reg.
Because we’ve set up this vehicle before, the reg automatically links to the correct customer’s account.
The first step is to enter a work description, this describes the job so it’s easier to understand what’s happening.
Now we’re going to add some parts and labour to the job. Click the add job button followed by repair times. The labour times feature contains a database of repair times for various tasks. This is categorised into various areas, but can be searched as well, so we’re going to brake pads and then click search.
You are then able to select the actual task that we’re going to do, so we’re going to select renew brake pads. You can then choose to just add labour for the job, or select parts as well, we’re going to select the parts from the catalogue. We’re going to click the plus button twice to add two of the part, then add to basket followed by finish.
As you can see this has added a new job to the document, this includes the labour and the parts.
Clicking the estimate button will generate an estimate for the customer. It’s also possible to email or fax a copy of the document by entering an email address of fax number and then clicking the appropriate button.
