Reporting and CRM features

The Autowork Online garage management system features a comprehensive suite of reports, covering every aspect of your business. This allows you to analyse data, taking note of where margins are high, and where they can be improved.

The system allows for every facet of your business to be reported on, this includes: Sales and margins, labour, purchasing, and media analysis.

Report data can be printed, or exported as a CSV (comma-delimited) file, which can be imported into a spreadsheet application.

Today I’m going to show you some of Autowork Online’s reporting features. Autowork online comes complete with a full suite of reports covering every area of your business. These are all housed in the reports menu. Customer relationship management allows you to manage various aspects of customer relationships including customer reminders and customer vehicle lists. Work history reports show a record of every job performed against a particular vehicle. Communications reports show the methods used to contact customers, and the vehicles on site report shows a list of the vehicles currently booked in on your site.

This video’s mostly going to focus on the analysis reports section, this features a wide range of reports covering most aspects of your business. There’s a wide range of reports available, so I’m going to show you just a few as examples.

The first of these is the business analysis report, this lets you show various pieces of information about your business for a set date range. This includes things such as the quantities sold and the profit margins for particular items including parts and labour. This is broken down into document types, in this case invoices and credits. There is also a section at the bottom which shows how many of each document type were raised. This includes the averages per day, and the average values. You can choose to print the report of export it to a CSV file.

The next report I’m going to show you is the yearly turnover report, this allows you to view turnover data for up to four years which can be compared side by side. It’s also possible to set a target value which will also show on the graph.

Next up is the technician’s work report, this lets you set a date range from and to, and when you click display, it will show a list of every document raised within that date range. This will be broken down by technician, and you will be able to see the total number of hours sold, the value, and the profit. Again, this report can be printed or exported to a CSV file.

Lastly, we’re going to look at the profit tracker report, this shows a profit breakdown by invoice, including the parts, labour and consumables. For each line, the cost, selling price, margin, and margin percentage or shown. If you click the magnifying glass icon against a particular document, you’ll be able to view the full document. There’s also a summary section at the footer, this shows similar information for the grid above, but it is summarised for the date range set.
